On April 25, China National Heavy Duty Truck Corporation (CNHTC) and Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement at Toyota headquarters in Nagoya, Japan. Mr. Man Shengang, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group (SHIG), and Mr. Yoichi Miyazaki, Vice President of Toyota Motor, attended the signing event and had a discussion and exchange. Ma Changhai, member of Shandong Heavy Industry Group's party committee and deputy general manager, and Kouzheng Yamagata, general manager of Toyota Motor's hydrogen plant, attended the event.
Mr. Man Shenggang said that China National Heavy Duty Truck Corporation (CNHDC) and Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) have been actively promoting the cooperation and development of hydrogen energy industry for a long time, and they have made promising progress and practical achievements in the collaborative R&D and application of hydrogen fuel cell heavy trucks and power systems. Shandong Heavy Industry has always been walking hand in hand with the global industry giants with the concept of open cooperation. We hope to deepen the strategic cooperation with Toyota Motor in a wider range of fields and at a higher level, so as to realize the complementary advantages and open up the future together.
Yoichi Miyazaki affirmed the latest cooperation results achieved by the two sides, saying that China is a huge potential market for the promotion and popularization of hydrogen energy, and long-distance and heavy-duty trucks are an important scenario that is highly suitable for the application of hydrogen energy. Both parties are expected to deepen the cooperation in hydrogen energy business, open up a broad space for future development together, and make greater contributions to the global carbon neutral cause.
Mr. Han Feng of China National Heavy Duty Truck Corporation (CNHTC) and Mr. Shinichi Tanabe of Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. Toyota has the world's leading hydrogen fuel cell technology, and China National Heavy Duty Truck (CNHTC) is a leading enterprise in China's commercial vehicle industry. The hydrogen fuel cell tractor jointly developed by the two sides has been delivered to the market in batch. In the future, the two sides will establish broader cooperation in the fields of hydrogen fuel commercial vehicle research and development, demonstration operation, popularization and application, business model innovation, etc., and work together to build a new ecosystem of zero-carbon logistics industry chain.
